News
1. An excellent and extensive report on the role that faith communities play in Wales’ capital has recently been published by our good friends Roy Thomas and Keith Kimber at Spiritual Capital Cardiff. A successful conference was held last month in the Future Inn which brought together key people from amongst Cardiff’s faith communities and politicians (and included none other than Gweini Research Director john Martin Evans on the panel) Please visit their website here for more info, which includes a fascinating breakdown of the different religions and denominations in the city. Well done guys!
2. Hope UK is a Christian charity that enables young people to make drug-free choices. They currently have 12 Educators in Wales but are hoping to increase this number to 50, so that every Welsh community has access to drug and alcohol education. Read their success story here, which includes details on how to get in touch with them if you’d like to be receive training to become an Educator.
3. The US government has recently published their annual “Trafficking in Persons” report. It is very comprehensive and makes for very a sober reading. Access it here and see pages 42-44 for examples of Christian initiatives, mentioned under the “Heroes” section, in Morocco and Greece.
