The Lighthouse Group (TLG) is a Christian charity that works through local churches to support young people who have been excluded from school, are at risk of exclusion or are at a crisis point in their education.

Our vision is to help teenagers growing up in some of the toughest circumstances.  By combining education with personal development we address behavioural difficulties and the issues that have put a young person in crisis.  Our purpose is to work with those who are missing out not only on an education but more often than not on a childhood.

The Gweini Spring Conference 2012 is planned to be a “Ministries Fair”, showcasing many of the compassion ministries currently being run in partnership with churches around South Wales.

It will be held at Coastlands Church, Barry on Wednesday, May 2nd and include representation from ministries such as Foodbank, CAP, Green Pastures, Street Pastors, etc.

Rob Jones, Gweini Networking Director is leading the conference.  He is currently inviting a number of churches to host a stand and bring their stories to the fore.
